PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Pedro Feliz singled home the go-ahead run in the 7th inning as the Phillies won their first world title in 28 years, beating Tampa Bay, 4-3. The game resumed in the sixth inning after a cold, heavy rain suspended play two days before. J.C. Romero pitched 1 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball to pick up the win. Brad Lidge capped a perfect season (48-for-48 in save opportunities), picking up the save with a scoreless ninth inning. He became the first Phillies closer ever to have a 100% conversion rate and the first ML reliever to record a perfect season (30+ saves) since the Dodgers' Eric Gagne in 2003. More than two million fans lined Broad Street on Halloween Day - two days later - to enjoy the city's first championship parade in 25 years (when the Sixers won the NBA title).
