I was tagged by Lea to write a six word memoir. I will be posting the picture with the memoir in a second.

It simply says, "When I awake, You're still there."

Most of you know I have a tattoo on my wrist. 

                      

It is Psalm 139:18 in Hebrew. "When I awake, I am still with You."

I got the tattoo for many reasons.

1. So people who think getting tattoos is a sin will think again.
2. I thought it would look really cool when I play guitar (it does).
3. This verse (and God) helped me survive my divorce.

Although I lost my husband and what I thought would be my future...I found myself. I realize I had become someone else when I was married. I had become the wife he said he wanted. And Shannon all but disappeared.

Left alone, rejected, told I am not attractive and not worth loving...
Still, You're with me. Every day I wake up, no matter what happens. There is one truth I hold to...God is here. And to me...that's all I need.
