Pleasing in the Lord’s Sight
2 Chron. 29:1-2 (NLT)
Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became the king of Judah, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah. [2] He did what was pleasing in the Lord's sight, just as his ancestor David had done.
1. A covenant – (The dispensation of Law, meant government by the Mosaic Covenant. The Law reflected the holiness of a personal God.)
1a. Exodus 19:5-6 (NLT)
a. Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the nations of the earth; for all the earth belongs to me. [6] And you will be to me a kingdom of priests, my holy nation.' Give this message to the Israelites."

2. Do not neglect your duties any longer
a. Judges 2:1-3 (NLT)
b. Verse 3: “ Since you have done this, I will no longer drive out the people living in your land. They will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a constant temptation to you."
c. How can we stay at home when we see the world dying and going to HELL.
3. God chose you
a. Ephes. 1:11 (NLT)
b. Furthermore, because of Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us from the beginning, and all things happen just as he decided long ago.
c. Chose us to stand
d. To minister
e. To lead the people
f. God appointed us for the end times
4. Purified themselves
a. Zech. 13:8 & 9 (NLT)
b. Verse 9: “ I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure, just as gold and silver are refined and purified by fire. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, 'These are my people,' and they will say, 'The Lord is our God.' "
c. We need to be Holy for the Lord
d. Set apart for His call
5. Cleanse the temple
a. Jeremiah 33:8 & 9 (NLT)
b. Verse 9: “ I will cleanse away their sins against me, and I will forgive all their sins of rebellion.”
c. Put all the garbage away
6. Follow the Lord’s instructions
a. Jeremiah 31:33-34 (NLT)
b. Verse 33: "But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day," says the Lord. "I will put my laws in their minds, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. “
c. The word laws is the same as instructions –he will put his instructions deep in our hearts
d. Follow in His steps, n ot your own ideas!
7. Remove all defiled things
a. Matthew 15:11, and 16-20 (NLT)
b. Verse 11: “You are not defiled by what you eat; you are defiled by what you say and do."
c. If your eyes cause you to sin, in other words , let go of your past and the plans you had
I will not offer that that is cheap but what will cost me something
2 Samuel 24:21-25 (NLT)
Verse 24: “But the King replied to Araunah, "No, I insist on buying it, for I cannot present burnt offerings to the Lord my God that have cost me nothing." So David paid him fifty pieces of silver for the threshing floor and the oxen. “
