Today I wake up to the News, telling us that the weather looks surely grim for the weekend.  That our sun will hide out, whilst yet another few feet of snow falls on the ground that has finally healed from massive melting.  I thought it was spring now, turning into summer.

The bizarre weather, the earthquakes, tornados, & hurricanes worldly tells us one thing. We are killing the world. And not slowly. In our fast paced society, all anyone cares about is their next electronic fix, their next fast food fix, whatever is cheap and easiest we are apt to try. Everything is about accessability, easy technology that makes us numb to what life is supposed to really be like. We are moving so fast, we no longer appreciate nature and small pleasures in this world.

It makes me sick when I see images of landfills covered with plastic bags, tin cans and trash. It's torture to the place we live. Come on people! This is where we live!!!! Do we shit in the bed we sleep?? No! We do not! So start taking care of our home people!

-Use cloth or eco-friendly bags for shopping
-Keep your lights off as much as possible
-Get up off your ass and walk to the store instead of taking a five minute drive!
-Start a compost
-Buy produce locally or grow your own with no pesticides
-Do your banking online or over the phone, and opt out for ATM reciepts!!
-Recycle your paper, plastics, bottles, and cans
-Wash your tin cans and use them to grow plants in. (they spray paint up real slick)
-LADIES: Check out the DIVA CUP - this invention is ridiculously awesome! It is easy and cheap and eco-friendly. Save the world from a shit load of dumped pads and tampons. (I was skeptical at first too, but it rocks!)
-Use cloth diapers for your babies
-Breastfeed your babies damnit! What DO you think breasts were put there for??

I could go on forever obviously, but I think my point has been made. Go green people!
