Yeah I can't say that I wasn't happy when my mom split up with her annoying and very "wrong" boyfriend, but a part of me feels sorry for the guy. . . he is doing some weird shit.

For starters (and one of the many reasons I hated him for dating my mother), he had been best friends with my boyfriend for many many years, and all of the sudden he changed his cell number and just kicked him out of his life for no good reason. No explaination to my boyfriend, who mourned the loss of a best friend for a long time. Secondly, he started decorating his house in a bizarrly weird way. . .like a 80 year old ladies home with trinkets and pink teacups and pictures of Victorian little girls. Worried yet? Creepy I thought. Well then he started smoking pot again, and quit a job that paid incredibly well!! Yes that's right he became a jobless granny house hunter. . . hmmm, can you say mid-life?

To make matters worse when he broke things off with my mom, he went from being insanely into the whole thing, asking her to move in, get married, etc, etc, and then he changed his cell again and completely ditched her too. Since then I have heard that he lives like a hermit., smoking a lot of pot, no friends, no money, nothing. . .kind of leaves you to wonder, is there more to him than just that he's a lazy control-freak pothead? Not sure, but my sorry metre is moving from below 0 to about 3ish for him right now.
