 blog, the first
So, this is the modernists' creative outlet. Archaic me, just recently discovered the art. It's become clear that this kind of catharticism would be right up my proverbial "alley". For decades I've longed for a small part of humanity to take a voyeuristic peek into the sublimation of my grey matter, while at the same time I vent, create, fantasize, recall, and imagine. At times, projecting the life I've always so desperately wanted, but have been too lazy to go get.

Maybe it's been a lack of tech skills that's been the culprit, or the reality that I really don't have time with 5 children in tow, but I suspect that even such a delicious outlet as this requires a level of commitment and self-discipline that, ironically, comes and goes with me. Sort of a semi-integral, semi-passionate, "bi-polar"istic need I have to record the processes of my brain. Add to it the frighteningly scary prospect that ANYONE would care about such ramblings on and on. And then there’s my time and energy ( and healthy carpal tunnels) going into a giant cyber-space junkyard of no significance.

It's not just that the simpleton in me, who lacks knowledge of ‘puter jargon and who's depraved of net etiquette; is unlearned, more so her simplicity risks the swirl of chaotic threat which abounds within the volumes of cyber-thoughts and information, of the billions of existing and possible screen names, the six-hundredth way to make a killer meatloaf, all of the cute little pics with babes wearing grandma’s newly knitted booties, with birthday cake faces and homemade pumpkin costumes, the fact that one could purchase just about anything on EBAY from a million dollar yacht to a .10 cent ( but priceless) memento from the 80's (including any one of the beloved Mello-Smello or Trend scratch-and-sniff stickers I ardently collected as a kid...yeah, even the "rare", matte, corn on the cob!). While intriguing, these things scare my one dimensional brain...instant access to Korean radio...a Google search for a former flame...a chat room on ironing...a website for Kool-aid!! Ok, I know the rest of the civilized world has had the novelty wear off by now...I’ll be alright. I'll stop thinking of it as if I were Eve deliberating over that first juicy bite.

SO, that's my very limited disclaimer. I'm sure there will be loopholes added later as I figure out that I've analyzed the "anal" out of nothing. Besides, for now, I should be mowing the lawn or doing one of the other 15 things I have written on the back of my hand.

THAT WAS GREAT! . It made me laugh out loud as i am reminded of how my brain races away with me nearly every moment of the day . You are so far from being simple and i feel that you may be a bit harsh on yourself , as the quality of your writing shows that you just shine with intelligence! . I have read a few blogs on here and while they are inspirational , yours is the only one that i feel compelled to subscribe to , because of your honesty and i do really really like that ability . To be brutaly honest without any pretence of trying to show a perfect face to the world . Consider yourself added , well as soon as i can figure out how to do it? .

simass, that's the way...ahhhhh, stroke, stroke.
And you'd be in harmony with the English poet, Thomas Hood's, sullen observation of the month of November..."no shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees, no fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds."

...When all of (nature's) pretense has been peeled away, we're forced to huddle around the hearth and find our delights right there in the place which we dwell. thank you for being the first to "stoke my fire". We could all use a little poking from time to time (%

You have FIVE kids and still can type coherently? My gardening hat is off to you. Thanks for the comments on my blogs. I am lucky, I know, but it is the rewards of raising four children to adulthood, thwarted artistic ambition. And a junk pile(every artists dream).
