Good to see you again Roe. I'm just off to New York this morning if the doc lets me travel (I do feel a whole lot better) but I'll be back on Sat to see how life is with you. I have found the whole thing very strange also and one post disappeared, I re wrote it and two appeared! Magic. Take Care

That's putting it mildly! It's good to laugh after that sort of thing even though you could die at the time. Hope all is well with you

I, too, have been confused. I wrote a new blogg which appeared to disappear into Cyber Space. I stupidly wrote another and then both appeared together making me look even madder than I already am!

Thank you for that - it has brought welcome tears to my eyes in the middle of my own conflict. You have helped me so much and you don't know me. Thanks again.

The amazing thing was that he waited until you came and it was your hand he held before he passed away. I never got to say goodbye to my dad and that was awful. You had such a special dad and you were his special girl.

You have explained your feelings in a very real, articulate way and without self pity. You have thought it out in a clear and decisive way which shows maturity beyond your age. Now I think it is time for you. Proving you can live on your own will prove a lot to yourself and will make you stronger. Try not to be afraid of being alone. You are not really getting anything from his except his presence and that doesn't seem to amount to much. I don't know if you have a belief in God, but if you do, just pray for the grace to get through each day. God bless

Cooking is such a good thing to do - it nourishes the body and satisfies the soul. It is also a very comforting thing to do, especially when you share it with others. It sounds to me like a really good start in your recovery. I do so hope everything works out well for you. If you come through all this, you will be a very strong person. I hope you can use your experiences for good, not dwell on it too often and emerge from it all so strong that you will help others. Somehow or other I believe you will!

And amen to that Davis. We all need to listen more. God bless, Elaine

Traveler, How lovely to see you again. And with your wonderful sense of humour. Hope to see more of you. I'm off to New York for a few days but look forward to talking to you when I get back. You take care! Elaine

ps. the family mean me to stay in bed and not New York. I'm much too necessary for them all here, what with baby sitting, cooking, listening.......

Hi Davis - I'll try it especially as I have lots of time to dream. I'm confined to bed with a lung infection and as I'm off to New York on Monday I'm under strict orders by the family to stay there. I did persuade Bryan to let me check the site and I'm glad I did. As always, best thoughts, Elaine

Posted in I won this battle! on 2008-03-25 15:40:17
Isn't it amazing how a woman can turn into a tigress when her cub is threatened? Well done you for standing up for your son and for his rights. Political Correctness just gets worse and worse. As to your husband, well.... I think it would be nice if he had said that to you when you were alone as that would have been a compliment. It was, I agree, inappropriate for him to have said it when he did. You deserved a whole lot more respect than that. It does sound like he has to re evaluate his life and take time to smell the roses. But then again......you are the lady to show him that. Be patient my friend and all will come right in the end. Meanwhile just enjoy winning the battle.

How wonderful you all are! I am so touched by your prayers and delighted to tell you that it is working. I feel so much better since I got back from Donegal and my husband just remarked how different I seem today. Prayer is such a wonderful gift and it's silly that so many of us don't think to ask for it. I just want you all to know that I am here to pray for any of you as I know what your prayer did for me. God bless you all. Elaine x

I did get time to read it! Paddy Jack is in his cot having a nap just so granny can catch up. I really wish you well with this as you are really listening to that still, small voice. And you are remembering to 'Be Still and Know that I am God.' Tennessee sounds just wonderful. Enjoy every moment and have a safe journey back. Many blessings to you all.

It's quite similar here in Ireland as well. It's really cold with a biting wind but the daffodills are swaying and the snowdrops and crocuses are a riot of colour in my garden. Beyond is the sea, blue with great white waves rising and falling. Like you I'm so full of hope as I see the Spring unfold. It's so good to see it after the sadness of Good Friday, but knowing we have the resurrection to follow. I wish you the most beautiful of Springs and the joy of summer ahead. Elaine

I will show my love today by attending our church at Midday when we will sit in silence for 'An Hour at the Cross'. Then I will enjoy fellowship with other members of my church and think how lucky I am to have them. There is such a bond among Christians and that bond is Christ himself. None of us are perfect but our imperfections are forgiven if we truly repent. How wonderful is that! My prayer will be that I will be given the wisdom and knowledge to spread to others the love that has been given to me. I will ask to have my faith deepened and my relationship with Jesus made more personal. My you have a truly blessed Easter and may God show himself to you in a very personal way. God bless

I'm so sorry the wee mite has to go through more trauma. Dear God, wrap her in your arms and hold her till she's well again.
