| another week? and a first date or two
I can't believe it's been another week since I've posted! Granted my laptop has been acting up something fierce, so I was limited to accessing thoughts, while I was at work.. shame shame! I know! I think I have it working, however I'm super busy b/c I'm moving in a few short weeks, and I'm having to paint and do some repairs. So there's a short update...
Now onto Country boy.... We made plans at the beginning of the week to have our first "official" date on Saturday evening. He was going to cook me dinner. So the week continues on and we talked on the phone for hours, by Friday, we were both very anxious to see each other. I had already committed to go to a friends house for a cookout for the Fourth. I went and had a good time, but about 10pm, I got a text telling me how bored and lonely he was. I "poor baby" 'd him, and laughed. He asked me to come over. Now had another guy asked me to come over on a Friday night before the first date at 10pm, I would immediately nix the idea, and cancel the date. BUT for some reason with Country boy, I knew the typical intentions wasn't on his agenda. So I told him I'd meet up with him and we could head back to my house to hang out and watch a movie.. I just felt safer on my own turf. So our first "date" was a movie at my house. I had already told him I had to get up early on Sat. to paint my new place, and had made the move to take him home. He didn't want to go home, he said he just liked being around me. I can't say I really had wanted to end the night either even if by this point it was 3am. so we came to the conclusion, he'd stay over--on the couch-- and help me paint the next day. Now tell me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just sweet!!! We've barely had a date and he wants to help me paint so he can continue to hang out with me. I won't lie, it definitly made me smile! so Saturday, I got him up at 730am, fed him breakfast, and off we went to paint. He made it fun... even if he was tired and really hates to paint (or so I found out later) we worked until early evening, then back to my house so I could change and look like a girl again for our "official" date. We went to his house and he grilled out steak, made Mac n Cheese, baked beans, and biscuits and gravy... See what I mean when I say "Country" It was a GREAT supper! Then we watched the Daytona Nascar race.... ok, so not exactly what I wanted to do, but we had a blast. We've already made it known that we want to see each other again. I'm excited at this new prospect. My heart still hurts for EC, but this initial distraction is easing the pain more and more each day.

KarKar: no, EC has no idea. it's something he'll just have to find out for himself. either that or get a shock to the system when he hears I'm engaged (one day)
Jaded: RIGHT! my thoughts exactly! and he served it with steak! ha!
