| Question Needs an Answer???

There are 2 guys who claim they love me. And I don’t think I even know what love really is. One said it was that he thinks about me all the time and misses me greatly when I am not there. The other one said that Love is the fact knowing that you would lay down your own life for that special person. In both of the incidents, I don’t feel the same for either one of them. I think about each of them but not all the time. I am a free thinker and I think about lots of stuff. Most of the stuff I think about deals directly with me. And I don’t miss anyone greatly. I do miss other things like a good satisfying job, family time, old friends, and simplicity.
And as far as laying down my life for another person like that - No, it’s just not there. Does this mean I don’t love either one of them?

This is the that them guys have siting you in that you shall choose somebody of them.
But this is nobody hesitation that them will you well both two.

They may not love you either, but think they do. So see them both and see what happens, but don't make any big decisions. Age also plays into this. At certain ages people think they can not live w/o certain things or people, then they get where all that matters is them, and then they slowly find the center. And do not get hung up on the laying down your life for someone part, it's one of those things behind glass that very few people have need to break the glass to get.

Well gee, I would lay down my life for just about anyone. It's a good versus evil rescue type glitch in my personality. But the fact that I would do this for a stranger shows that I obviously don't love that person so the statement has nothing to do with love.
To answer your question about love (real love): Love is a feeling of completeness. Warm and secure and unneedy. By unneedy, I mean that there is no jealousy, you don't need to know where that person is 24/7. You allow each other to be who you are. You don't try to change them and you don't change your self for them. You are strong where they are weak and they are strong where you are weak.
These guys you are talking about, do you love them? I doubt it for if you did, there would be no question.Fun to hang out with, fun to be with. Sure but not for life.
