Blackjack Having a blackjack strategy is necessary regardless of whether you are playing blackjack online or in a casino. However, while most of the strategy that can be used is interchangeable between the two, there is one blackjack strategy is not.
Unfortunately card counting cannot be used for online blackjack. This has more to do with the nature of a computerized game versus the nature of a game with a live dealer.
Online blackjack does not have a live dealer. Instead all possible dealing combinations and possible cards to draw are programmed into a Random Number Generator (RNG). The RNG takes the place of a dealer. As soon as the blackjack player clicks on ‘Deal’ the RNG will randomly produce a combination of what cards are dealt.
In a normal round of blackjack, the spent card would be removed from play. This is not so for online blackjack. Because the RNG does not remove any combination and will pull a combination from the entire list of possibilities each round there are no cards removed from play. This would be like playing at a blackjack table with a Continuous Shuffling Machine which keeps all cards in play and shuffles them after each round.
With card counting removed from the blackjack strategy picture what can a player use?
