Just into eighteen and so much yet to learn
She hasn't a bridge she will someday burn
Yet she thinks she has the world by the horn
But that will all change when the baby is born
No more staying up till all hours of the night
At least not for pleasure, She will say it ain't right
As you enter the wonderful world of motherhood
You will learn to take the bad along with the good
The crying, the wetness, The goo in your hair
Don't bother looking nice if you are going somewhere
Twenty minutes into the trip you will look a sight
Yeah welcome to Mother hood you know it ain't right
But there will be a few quiet times you will find
To energize your body and to clear your mind
But don't take them for granted they don't last long
But only in a Mothers Heart will you hear a song
A child within a child is what I do see
But I could be wrong that is just me
I hope you show us you can do what you need
From a Father to Daughter I send this to read
