Is the Honeymoon over and this the way it ends
You walk out the door saying we will stay friends
But as the door closes, in my heart I know
If I invited you out you would never show

I decide to relax and watch some TV
But I can't find the remote for the life of me
I knew where it was when I went to bed
And then I remember something you said

Try to forget me if you think you can
But I learned from you the thoughts of man
And I quickly learned whats important to you
You will be more surprised the next thing you do

A ham and cheese sandwich would sure be nice
But where is the cutter to get the perfect slice
I know in which drawer it should be found
But I spent more than an hour looking around

I will go for fast food they have something for me
But where in the hell can the car keys be
They are not in the tray where I leave them now
A light goes off and I think " That stupid cow"

I will take a shower and the walk will do me good
I wonder who put all these signs up in the neighborhood
And all the arrows point right back to my house
Into which I scurry to like a frightened mouse

They say Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned
And from the note on the mirror I had been warned
But Like a man who knows everything I choose to ignore
But then I begin to wonder what else is in store

With every step taken I wait to meet my fate
It has been a good life I think as I wait
Yes here I wait for the other shoe to fall
What is that noise that I Hear coming from the hall

Around the corner I carefully take a peek
The carpet is wet, I have a leak
How did that bra get stuck in there
I go back to bed hungry, I just don't care

You said not to worry friends we would always will be
But I have never had a friend do these things to me
And I can just picture the smile on your face
Why couldn't you have left without a trace
