Back in the car again, my mind was racing out of control. For some one who thinks of himself as being calm and cool under pressure. I was not prepared for what I was feeling inside. I started the car and put it in Drive. I lurched forward, I looked at Carla and said. " Damn, I guess I wanted reverse huh?" She was laughing so hard, I thought she was going to cry. I smiled and made the best of it as I said. " You could have used that seat belt back at Carl's Jr, It would have kept you in the booth."
I spent the first five miles having to endure a little snicker about every 30 seconds, I turned the radio up a little more each time. That just seemed to make her laugh more. " I suppose you are going to tell me you are laughing with me and not at me. Right?"
She looked straight at me trying to keep a straight face and said. " OH NO, I am laughing at you and I am sure before the night is over, you will get your chance to do the same with me."
With a grin, I replied. " Well I am glad we are getting mine out of the way now then, the last thing a man wants to hear is a woman laughing when he is trying to be sexy."
" Oh , you don't have to worry about that Jeff, I know you are sexy, I am looking at you aren't I ?" She said.
My Grin got Grinner and that statement woke my toe up and he was pushing on the gas pedal trying to get us home. I spotted a Safeway up ahead and pulled in and parked. " I Need to get something." I said " Is there anything you would like.? "
" No, I am fine, I will wait here. OK?" she replied
I was out of the car and walking. I admit I am not a man that likes to shop, I don't know many that do. But there are some things that a man has to have at a time like this. I was in and out and on my way back to the car. I threw the sack in the back seat and climbed in.
" That was quick Jeff, are you always that fast?" She said with that little smirk of hers showing.
" No Carla." I said ' There are some things I like to take my time with, but shopping is not one of them." I wondered to myself how far this little innuendo game would go before we got to the real deal, but this was something I was not going to rush. You never now when you might be making a memory for years to come and I wanted it to be a good one. Damn I cannot get that song out of my Head.

Strange how I still remember all the words, but I knew one day I would feel that way. I was hoping today would be the day.
I was almost surprised when she broke the silence by asking. " OK Jeffry. Whats in the Sack?'
She must have mistaken my smiling as to thinking of what I had in the bag rather than the song in my head... " You really want to know Carla?" I looked at her and said. " ICE CREAM." With that said we pulled into my driveway. " Here we are, You ready for the Grand Tour?" I waited, expecting to hear a touch of apprehension in her voice. I knew I was nervous.
She replied. " Yep, I can't wait to see your place. I want to find out if my thoughts are close."
I walked around and opened her car door and she stepped out. She grabbed the coffee pot and I grabbed the Ice Cream.. No turning back I thought as I put the Key in the door. I turned the knob and for the first time she was walking into my world. I hoped she liked it. I flipped the switched and the light came on..........
