The Day the Sun Came Out...continued
Time to take a break, this is the best time to drink coffee.  The kids have torn apart the couch and played jump from the couch onto the cushions while I was folding laundry.  It's just a reminder that I need to vacumn the couch as well.  The kids are going crazy, the TV was up too loud again.  A whole table of folded clothes to put away and the dishwasher ready to empty, the children wanting my attention and I just want a moment of peace to re-jump my resolve. All the toy boxes need to be gone through and sorted out.  There are too many toys, pieces of toys that will never be reassembled into anything recognizable.  The coffee is good even though it's hot in here.  A high of 95 today here in Texas and the air-conditioner set to 81.  My mind ready to explode in frustration.  Two more loads of laundry waiting to be done.  Old clothes, worn out or too small need to be gotten rid of.  Clutter everywhere in every drawer and decorative containers just need to be thrown out.  Peter, age six, is tackling Justin, age 4.  I am screaming "leave him alone" and no one is listening to one word from me.  Justin just coming back for more every time and then crying for my help.  The sounds bother me but they won't listen.  They are bored to death I'm sure and I am tortured by their behavior as well.  Getting seriously ready to lose my cool with Peter if he doesn't stop it.  I can't tell if they are playing because one minute Justin is laughing and the next screaming in outrage.  I have to threaten to take Peter's gameboy away and he asks Justin if he wants to keep playing and he does.  I tell Peter if Justin gets hurt the gameboy is history.  He probably knows I'm bluffing.  He knows if he whines long enough I'll give in and give it back.  My power has been taken away.  My confidence long gone as I remember all the cut-downs I've endured the entire last year from Mom and Axel.  Not to worry, I'll get it back.  Mom hasn't been nasty all day.  She even bought me a carton of smokes and I didn't even have to ask her.  The good news is that they will be gone to my sister's for the entire weekend.  They are even taking, Natasha, my daughter age 5 with them.  Just me and the boys and ha I can turn the air-conditioning down for two whole days as long as I remember to make it hot as hell in here before they drive back up.  The boys are quiet now.  Peter walks up and says, "I love you" just because.  Now they are thirsty, time to go and make a snack for us, and back to work.  The coffee is almost gone.  Hope has returned for the moment.
