 My Roommate
My roommate is amazing. I love her. Even though it's only been a few weeks, I know we're going to have a great friendship.

Recently, she's opened up to me about her perception of the other girls on our floor. She claims they only say Hi to her when I'm around, otherwise, they treat her badly.

I attend a Christian University and I could not be more disappointed in the Church than I am right now. While we do many disgusting things, all of which Christ has forgiven, right now I'm personally offended on behalf of my roommate. She's very nice. And she's black. She believes it's a racial issue: the other girls treat her differently because they think they're better than her.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to say to console her. I really just want to confront everyone...
I know that prayer is needed. But I also know some form of action must occur... in order to be a good friend to Tasha.

If you're reading this, I'm not asking you to offer advice or a solution... just pray for me. Pray for my roommate. I want everything to be okay. I want the other girls in the hall to lighten up, chill out, and be nice. Tasha isn't annoying or anything. The only thing that I can see that she is that would be offensive to other girls is confident. She's confident about who she is in the Lord. While I think that's beautiful, other girls may feel threatened. Right now, I'm her first and only white friend...

Will do sis, your dorm mates better be glad they don't go to the same school I do. I am so tired of "Christians" who want nothing to do with Christ. God is unconditional Love. You can NOT be a follower of Christ if you do not love all people, and are not learning to love all people unconditionally.

If Christ has forgiven us for these things, then we dont continue in them, right?
