Hello,
My sinus's are sooooo messed up. My whole face is swollen and touchy. Yuck! I also have a sinus headache that I can't get rid of. I've been drinking hot tea with lemon to help my throat. I may actually be getting a cold, but for now I think its a sinus attack. The wind has been pretty stiff this weekend.
DB and I got a bunny cage for the bunnies. I think they will be ok together for now. I don't have anymore money to get supplies to build another cage yet, but I've got a pet carrier I can put one in if they get into fights. So far, they are pretty buddy-buddy because of all the new activity around them.
Today, DB brought the boys out so they could clean the bunny cage. This is a big joke, because RB isn't very coordinated yet, being only 5. So, I ended up doing most of the work. Thats ok, though. That way I KNOW it got cleaned properly. By the time he is big enough to do it himself, he will have lots of experience!
This is Peter Rabbit. He belongs to RB and ZB. He is a nice, tiny little bunny that is quiet when you hold him. He is looking for the treat that he smelled on DB's hands.
This is Leo. He was tired of being messed with so he started to squirm. I don't blame him because I'd messed with him all morning. This is a very bad picture, so I apologize. I will bring my camera out tomorrow after work. These shots were taken with my cell phone.
After the bunnies had decided they'd had enough attention, DB decided she wanted to clean Trumbly's stall. I am fine with this, but it was fun to watch her try to clean while both boys 'helped'. They got it done, while I picked up feed bags and other trash inside the shed.
Then they helped me clean Spanks' pen. We turned the horses loose to play in the big area while we cleaned. DB had called KJ and told her to bring her kids out to help. They helped a little, but they are all bigger and wanted to go chase the chickens instead. I did get them to go around the back pasture and pick up bottles that the low-income apts toss over the fence! And, I managed to get them to pick up a bunch of branches that had fallen in the ice storms, so it wasn't a total loss. They took turns pulling the garden cart (full of poo) to the compost pile, and helping me dump it.
By this time my head was pounding and my nose was in serious trouble. We managed to get almost two hours of work done before I couldn't take it any more. DB was also getting tired, so we let the boys go play in the back pasture for awhile. There are lots of things to climb on out there...giant old fallen tree, big pile of limbs from years past, stuff like that.
DB took the troup home to eat lunch and I headed back to my house to take a nap. I rested for about two hours before I got too warm under my covers, and my nose started to run again. Its all red and sore from blowing it so much today.
Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you...since I had such a horrific time with the gas people, I have to wait until NEXT payday to start my chariot. Sheesh, I hate being responsible! You rarely ever get to go do anything fun, because everyone expects you to pay your bills! (just kidding!)
Ok, I have to go now. I'm sure its time to start helping DB with dinner by now. She is making baked chicken and roasted potatoes. YUM!
Bye
