| Who can Beat McCain? |
|
The republicans are hoping that the democrats are stupid enough to buy this Obamanation. They always tout the men's vote, he he he. Women comprise 58% of the voting electorate, not men. As for Obama polls, lets face it, they have been stuffing these polls down our collective throats for months now and they have been consistently wrong.
They told us Hillary was ahead by 30 points early on, just saying that made many people think she had a big advantage and so when Obama scored within republican states using caucus' this was suppose to mean he had broad support. It doesn't actually mean that. Obama has paid staff working in these red states. Those states will vote republican in the fall. Obama will never win those states. In the southern states where he got this over whelming black vote, those states will also vote republican in the fall, there aren't enough black voters there for him to win either. In the big democratic strongholds, Obama can't even win a majority of white democratic voters, so in the fall if he is the nominee, perhaps he couldn't even win there, as in California where McCain could get the Hispanic vote that didn't vote for Obama in the first go round. The media hype and the rock star glitz is no substitute for governance.
Obama is the new/now/nest kind of candidate, but when it gets right down to brass tax, Obama offers very little in the way of substance. I see these rabid press and Obama supporters declaring they would support McCain over Clinton. I say that if they were democrats they would not be saying that. These are merely people who are shallow in their evaluations full of the hype and hate the Obama campaign has used instead of providing real concrete reasons to vote for for him, they just want to be against Hillary. If these people believe in Obama and he does not win the nomination, then if they support McCain they were never really for Obama in the first place because he merely copied his positions from her.
