The big problem with all this hero worship is Obama is actually not a hero and cannot deliver on his promises. I already voted for my candidate, but I as a life long democrat with deep and painful reflection, know in my heart I cannot vote for Obama. I just do not believe him. Period. None of this hype or rantings of these who do support him with such religious fervor even impress me. I do not like this kind of thing at all. I do not think we should worship our leaders or think they can walk on water. Obama is a typical politician who happens to have Bobby Kennedy's speech writer and the black cadence to deliver a good sermon. I don't much like preachers either. Obama's ties to Goldman Sachs, which made $6 billion from devalued mortgage securities in the first 9 months of 2007, is Obama's top contributor. Obama has $10 million in contributions from the finance, insurance and real estate sector, and when asked if if Obama would hold these financial institutions accountable for losses incurred by homeowners, his campaign refused to comment. Typical politician. Nothing more!!
In fact, here is a serious presidential candidate who refuses to even talk about this crisis or offer anything for homeowners who have been ripped off by these same institutions. He is not a saint and he is just like any other politician. Get a grip. Get over your hero worship and your hatred of all things Clinton. Obama is not the guy you all think he is. He is in the pocket of some pretty disreputable folks and if the republicans get a hold of his true record, they will destroy this man. His ties to General Dynamics for example.
They think nothing of using his race, his name, his drug use and any other thing against him, unlike Hillary who, contrary to all your rants, has not done. When you begin to finally see this man for the actual guy he is and not how you wish him to be, you will be much better off. You may still support him, but you would be a better supporter because you would get over this hyper love fest and realize that this fall campaign will be no walk in the park for your candidate. There are still red blooded Americans in this country that will resist a movement just because it is a movement. Not every person can be convinced with fancy words or emotions.
