 What's the deal with abortion?
a⋅bor⋅tion [uh-bawr-shuhn]
–noun; the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy.

ok, so in my most recent poll, I asked what topic I should talk about. The results were homosexuality/abortion. So I will make a seperate blog for homosexuality later. Anyway...

So yes, I am religious. The bible says murdering is wrong. Most people I know who are religious are againest abortion. I am not totally againest abortion. What I mean by that is, in some cases, I find it ok to get an abortion. (i.e. incest, rape.) But, if it was your choice to have sex in the first place, then you are taking risk of getting pregnant. And in that case, you should keep the baby. But if you were raped, and it was a pregnancy that was againest your will, then you don't need to keep the child. Because if you were raped, say by a family member, it could cause major damage to the child, and the mother of the child.

Again, these are just my personal views on abortion. Yes I understand that people may disagree, and I understand that. I am not trying to influnce anyone to become Pro-Life or Anti-Life. It is your choice, and these are just my ideas.

You know, its weird.. In my case, I don't really even have a reason to believe this but I am 100% in favor of abortion. No matter what, i believe you have the choice, whether you make it for the right reasons or just because you're selfish and stupid, I think you should be able to do whatever you want without being judged. But oh well, I'm an idiot as well, so just... blahhh lol

No, you know, I honestly believe that if people didn't feel pressured or judged all the time that they wouldn't do half the things they do. Like for example, when I say "I believe people should be able to do whatever they want", the first thing that jumps to mind is the image of a naked man or woman just prancing around, liberally. Which I would believe to be wrong! Because we're not used to that sight, frankly, but still wrong, out of place! But I think that if that man or woman hadn't felt the need of social contrariness in the first place, caused by main streaming and pressuring others to be the same as everyone else, that they wouldn't have behaved that way... Don't you think? Fuck, I feel like such a crazy person when I say these things... Lol

Amen. People wouldn't ordinarily prance around naked if it weren't so commonly comdemned in our culture. If we could were suddenly able to just do whatever we wanted, it might start out that way, with people dancing naked in the streets, but then they would realize how impractical that is and would start wearing clothes again. It's just the original angst against the rules of society that would drive them to that extreme.

exactly!! It seems so illogical, but it makes so much sense! I don't think its even a matter of realizing its impractical, because I am sure there would be more then one fellow that would find nudeness as the most practical thing lol, but people would just see that its no longer a good statement! Haha, its like not laughing when someone makes a bad joke, they just eventually figure it out that its not funny! I mean, look at it this way: Was there a law against people prancing around naked in the first place? [please let me know if there is, because then this would be lame and would make no sense at all] Because I think there isn't said law, and people just choose to cover up! Don't they? Lol

You said, "But I think that if that man or woman hadn't felt the need of social contrariness in the first place, caused by main streaming and pressuring others to be the same as everyone else, that they wouldn't have behaved that way... Don't you think?" .. my question has to be this: What if your little boy gets raped by a man? Would you lobby for the legalization of rape, in an [blind] attempt to lower to frequency of th crime? I don't know. That's just a thought, to kinda twist the conversation a little.

Also, to the reply you got from the last person... how is walking around naked any less practical than putting clothes on? If it's a social norm, who would rather waste time putting clothes on? Being naked is so much more comfortable. I'd say at best, its practicality is the same..

If we were allowed to do whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted, then your argument, my argument, "his/her" argument, would be a waste of thought.. because nobody would care what anyone had to say. Nobody would be wrong in the eyes of man's law. We need to be ruled by goodness. When we're not ruled, not ruled well, we'll just kill each other off.

Well i am 100% against abortion!!!

I was adopted at birth becase my mother got knocked up when she was a teenager.Yep and im still alive.Im sure it would of been so much easier to just abort me and move on with her life, but she ddn't and instead she gave me to a loving family who could support me and love me.

So I am pro-life and you can just get over it!!!

The opinion of abortion is different for everyone but you can't apose or approve of it until you're in that position when you can't afford a child under any circumstance. should you hate yourself? no. why go through the pain and misery of having the child, then not being able to take care of it so it suffers or putting it up for adoption when it still suffers emotionally eventually, when you can end it all. There should be no guilt. Under some circustances, it is fine, normal. If you however are over 4 months pregnant, and you are just now deciding on it. At this point the baby has limbs, when it is removed from the womb-it's joints get soft and it's head and arms and legs fall apart like a gingerbread man. That is murder.

Ending a life, to prevent suffering. Think about that using this analogy: I pull someone in off of the sidewalk so that he doesn't get hit by a bus when he walks into the street. A bus that.. might not be there. Except instead of pulling him in off the street, I killed him.

For lack of better term, its presuming to know the future. And it's not even presenting a positive alternative future, but rather deciding that no future, is better than a bad one. That would lead me to ask why we don't all kill ourselves, then?

Abortion [in the case of consentual sex] is nothing more than a selfish desire to have as little responsibility as possible. In other cases, it's simply the failure to trust God. God knows what happens, and has planned accordingly, ready to be a full supplement. But we don't know him, don't trust him, don't believe in him, but we love to blame him.

Well hotchic204, I am glad you are adopted! Some of my best friends are adopted. I had no intention whatsoever in changing your opinions on abortion!! This is just what I personally thought. Like I said, people should take responsibility for there actions. If they are going to have sex, then they take the risk of having a child. Thanks for all of your opinions!!

The deal with abortion is you are killing a human being.
Some people think that is alright.
The fact of the matter is no one has ever proven that an
unborn child does not have thought within its head, all
the evidence indicates that there is thought and learning
before birth. Also pain and fear. Do you really want to
inflict that on a baby ?

I can understand your reasoning for rape or incest. I think people don't think of the women behind the pregnancy or abortion. How did she become pregnant? I personally don't go around condeming people for this action because I don't know their story. I do think it's wrong for the govt. to tell me as a women that I have to have a baby if I were to become pregnant. I really don't think that is there place as women already get the short end of the stick in work force and it just seems to intensify the fact that women don't have much of a say for what they would like to have from society. Really people I mean I know it's a baby, but there is also a women behind that baby. Try and think of her situation and how it got to that point of thinking of abortion...
