 Taking a few days off...
Hello, all. Well, I promised I'd produce a song or two to my friends here at Thoughts, and I'm kinda at a point where some changes have to be made in order to complete that offer to you. My upstairs recording room has no common ground for the electrical, causing a low, HMMMMMM sound in my recordings that just make it sound like the worst stuff ever! Not only annoying, but dangerous, too. So my roommate, my landlord and I are re-wiring the upstairs recording room only, to eliminate this unwanted, and unremovable, noise. Yes; the worst part is that even with all of the fancy equipment and tricky software that I own (I even have "Britney" software that corrects vocal errors), removing what's known as "50-60 Hz low-freq hum", which permeates my recordings, and is like removing sugar from salt. So I'll be off line for a day, maybe two if all goes well. Probably this weekend.

We're debating now whether to record "a tout le Monde" or "Angry Again", both top contenders for the first release, and both by Megadeth. Additionally, I'm still pending on hand surgery. But I can still make an effort to put out something, and I can always re-release them after surgery and recovery. I'm MUCH more comfortable with the vocals for "Angry Again", and "a tout le Monde" has difficulties, even for a singer (which as of YET I am not).

Beyond the things that make me nervous, I'm actually looking forward to this - it's my passion and my dream. Everybody is nervous at first; feeling that they aren't good enough. Good enough for what? Face it; we AREN'T very good yet, or we'd be touring, right? hahaha But even if it's not the best, it's mine, and it's a start. We all start somewhere, or we do nothing nothing at all. For me, the choice is a no-brainer.

Hey John, Good luck on the rewire. Sounds like it is over due. Will look forward to seeing you back online once it's done. By the way .. watched you on you tube. Great idea! Perhaps I'll do that so the world can actually see me spouting out my words of wit or according to some "words of sh*t!" LOL!

I'd love to see ya, Ed! One of the others here came up with the idea, but it really was popular. If ya have trouble setting things up, talk to me. I'll walk ya through it.

And you say things that others often think, but either can't or won't verbalize. Bully for you!

Ok John I may just take you up on the assistance with the tube, appreciate the offer. It may be a good thing for others to see the ones they talk to or about here on this site. It also may ease up on criticisms as well since it is very hard at times to know how the person says what they type. That's the only draw back to text, very little emotion can be applied.

Yes I speak my mind which has been a habit since a very young age. Be it a good thing or not, that's me. HA!

Stay safe & stay well my friend.

Youtubing is simple. Allow me:

1) Sign up as a member - it's free.

2) Log in to YouTube.

3) At the top of the screen, on the right, is a yellow button that says "Upload". Click it.

4) From here, follow the upload prompts. It accepts nearly any video format, up to 1 GB collectively.

5) After it uploads, it has to process the film - a few minutes more.

6) Click on the video's icon to play the video. On the right of the main page (not the video screen),
you'll see the word "embed". Click it, then right-click the highlighted text and click "copy".

7) Now, go to the blog you're writing, and where you want the video vertically in the blog, paste your code
(right-click and paste, Edit-paste, etc).

8) That's it! Your video is embedded. Some choose to show their face; others, just voice. It's up to you. I
can't wait! All thanks to michelle8angels for this information.

Good luck with the rewiring man. If you have ground problems there I'd check the rest of your home too. Ground problems are very dangerous. Looking forward to your recordings. And best of luck with the surgery, that's what really counts.

Thanks, Tony. The lower half of the house is properly grounded, but the upstairs has been unoccupied for decades. Yes; my brother once stepped up to a mic that had a different ground than his guitar, and a blue volt jumped from the mic and burned his lip! He's lucky that's all he got. And thanks; they are a small beginning, but necessary if I'm to get where I wanna go.
