We had a great vacation in Mt. Bachelor last month. We went skiing/snowboarding twice. My 4 year old finally learned how to turn and stop on his skis and he graduated to riding the chair lift with his instructor. I finally graduated to doing blue runs which are medium difficulty. It was beautiful there and the weather was perfect. Since we came back we've been to the snow twice more. My little guy now has graduated to blue runs and my 9 year old daughter can do black runs (difficult). She skied the face of the mountain and just pointed her skis straight down and went flying. She gave her mom a heart attack! She was all smiles when she reached the bottom. My 17 year old unfortunately broke his sacrum on one of the last runs of the day. He's been hurting for a couple weeks now. He's doing better than I thought he would though.
Work has been crazy (I'm a nurse in an ICU). We've been busy every night for weeks. The patients seem sicker lately and there are more of them. This week has been exhausting because I've had some extra needy patients. The kind that call you in to the room every 15 minutes or so and want silly things like "move my kleenex one inch closer to me" or the patient that has to pee every 15 minutes and only does one little squirt. Sometimes I think I need to blog some nursing stories. I think you guys would get a kick out of them.
