Well, tonight I go back to work for the first time since surgery.  My jaw and mouth are still sore but it's such a relief not to be wired.  We'll see how I do after 12 hours of talking tonight.  I tried taking a nap today to be ready to stay up tonight but I could only sleep an hour.  I'm sure I'll sleep well tomorrow!   It'll be nice to see all my friends back at work.

 Still can't get my mouth open very far.  I'm sure I'll be back to being a "big mouth" soon.   

Work is changing a little bit for me.  I interviewed for a position as the Managing Coordinator of the Medical/Surgical/Pediatric floor.  I didn't get it but in the process of hiring the other person they restructured things.  So now instead of one night as House Supervisor and two nights in ICU I'll be doing most of my nights in ICU and filling in as relief House Supervisor.   Hopefully now it will be easier to get all my nights in a row.  It was so hard on me when my schedule was all split up.  It's difficult enough being a night shift person without flip flopping back and forth all the time.
