Bad managers

There are a number of things in life that make me angry, one of those things is liars and ineptitude in the work place!!
Why does it seem that the more inept people are and the more lies the tell, the further they are able to take their career.
I enjoy my work -(well mostly), I work as part of a project team modernising our contact environment. Prior to that I worked in the contact environment as a supervisor to 20 members of staff.
That is were my distaste of management started - my then boss who was a male (and still is male - despite what people might say)!!! Managed to get under my skin like no one else who was in his position ever has. I can't really explain why, nor do I understand either because actually he really isn't worth bothering with.
I think my problem was and still is - I don't trust him one tiny miniscule bit. He takes credit for everyone elses hard work. (i know this is a manager distinct right- however good bosses also recognise the work their team does -if you don't have a good team, you can't look good).
Not only that is he talks in riddles - in fact one of his many nicknames from the staff was 'The Riddler'.
After staff meetings we would all come out and say 'What the F**K was that all about?'
I prefer the nickname I gave him 'Pinnochio', I had the pleasure of reading his application for the post in which he is in now, and also the Personal Development folder we have to complete.
Oh how I laughed, and I can't wait to see the day his lies catch up on him !!! The application was full of things that myself and a co worker had actually been the sole practioners of - with good results, and his file was full of things his predecessor had completed.
Since he has taken over the position - results for the board of directors looks quite good - however they never look at what he spends, or the sickness rate or the quality of the work being produced. The staff are so unhappy, and all looking for other jobs, and about 15% have moved on already.
So my theory is this now - don't waste time 'hating, disliking or even getting angry' about this kind of individual. Take a back seat, do your job well, and keep records of your achievements, then watch as their web of deciept creeps up around their neck and slowly watch them turn a lovely shade of red as they are found out!!
