I just finished having a conversation with my husband who at the moment is out of town. He tells me that he's thinking about purchasing more rental property. That was fine with me until he told me that one of the other properties had been burglarized, they stole the AC units from a four plex we own. His brother agreed to take care of the property since he had invested in the building to, but as you can see he did nothing. now we have to come out of our pockets to replace units that he could care less about. His brother don't want to take care of the property, but when the rent money comes in he want his share. my husband always makes excuses for him saying he's depressed and that he has alot on his mind. bull shit he's lazy and selfish and could care less about the property. when i tell my husband these things he gets up set with me, we argue and then the issue fades away. now my husband wants to invest in another property and depend on his lazy ass brother for this one as well. not going to happen, he'll be living with his brother if he do. we have too many things on our plate right now to take on another project. his brother expects everyone to take care of him and his family while he sits on his ass and do nothing, oh did i mention he has a masters degree in phsycology. I'm sorry but i don't know if i'll stick around too much longer if this keeps up. Instead of investing in more properties we need to work on investing in our home, its a beautiful home, but it could use some upgrades.
