I know we have all seen this page before.

You want to delete your Internet Explorer History - so you click on " clear history "

You have covered your tracks - right ?

Unfortunately not. Your history is still on your PC.

It can be retrieved by data recovery software.

This is because of some generally inaccessible files, one of which is

the index .dat file which you can see below.
