Most have probably heard that song I can't drive 55mph well for some it is true.

The other day on my way to work in no apparent hurry with my right foot heavy on the right pedal I got pulled over.  Great, I thought this is just going to be a great start to my day.  Needless, to say I got a ticket and points taken and no sympathy whatsoever.

I guess what was I really expecting.  This police officer was just doing her job. Was she just going to let me go and condone my behavior.  After, I arrived to work and called my husband to tell him what just happened.  Can you believed he actually laughed at me?  I had to laugh too!! 

There has been plenty of times where my lead foot has never got caught.  I haven't had a speeding ticket for over 5 years.  I am glad I got a ticket though after much thought.  What I'm I always rushing to anyway?  Maybe, I just need to slow down in this life and enjoy some of it along the way. 

How selfish I am to speed.  I am not only endangering myself but others around me. I can't keep doing that anymore.  So, I am taking so steps to help me in this adventure.  I will leave earlier to work and slow down.  If I am late, I am late at least I will be safe and also the people around me.
