 Christians who don't attend church
Christians who don't attend church sounds like a radical thought doesn't it.  Wells church, is doing just that I heard on the K-love radio show a while back.  Instead of attending church in a million dollar building they get together every week unite and help people in their local community.  Things like helping the elderly mow their lawn, fixing fences and assisting at the locate food pantry.  Now, that's really making an impact.

I told my husband about this and he thought it was just great and so did I.  Here a "church" that is actually helping real live people instead of trying to accumulate as many attendants as they can.

My husband and I have tried to attend church on several occasions it just didn't seem right.  I felt a disconnect.  I really tried to get involved too.  Even, though I had countless times wanted to bake and make the Sunday morning goodies. No one ever responded back to my emails and phone calls.   Now, how friendly and warm is that!!

I'm just saying attending a building every week after week is just not for me.  For others it works though.  I also got bummed when offerings to the church are not given to the needy they are used to keep updating the church.

So, I prescribe we who don't attend a church take it upon ourselves to help others.  Both, me and my husband have been doing just that.  We take our tithe money each month purchase food and other items and give to the local food pantry.  We will also begin purchasing personal hygiene and diapers for our local homeless shelters.  We want to do more but, it is a start for us.

Thinker,

WOW, I think that's great! "Charity begins at home", not at church!

We are doing that through a church called Grace Communion.. In fact we meet twice a month on the front porch of one members house.. Well and sometimes others as well but we pray together and have great involvement.

It is so much more powerful and I get way more fed from it than ever in my life and Im half century old.

We still go to the bigger church on occasion (for praise music) but only in between the meeting of the home church.. This is where our heart is.. The body of Christ is huge and has so many Parts its phenomenal..

To me if you are a believer the spirit will move you and guide you and I think it has done that for you..

Wow, that's an AWESOME idea... I go to a home church, and I'm wondering if they might just consider that. What a great way to be used of the Lord.
