Wall Street rises further after home sales data

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose further on Friday, with the major indexes up more than 1 percent, after data showed sales of used homes in the U.S. rose more than expected in July.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> rose 119.03 points, or 1.27 percent, to 9,469.08. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> added 14.77 points, or 1.47 percent, to 1,022.14. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 22.58 points, or 1.14 percent, to 2,011.80.
