 busy day---home now-----

Dear Blog---Good Afternoon, Milwaukee---Good Afternoon, my Peeps!
This is Cork-----
Got home early today---cable man scheduled to come for a service call. Several days ago, my Caller I.D. feature disappeared. When I get an in-coming call, the callers name and number flashes up on my television screens. Saves steps, if I want to ignore the call and let it go to voice mail. So---something happened and it was gone. I took the steps to check it out, to no avail, and scheduled a tech visit at 3:00 a.m., which was when I was up. I was surprised to hear that they could get here TODAY, and they were. About an half hour earlier, I recieved a call from a friend and the feature WORKED! Oh, well---the tech was here shortly afterwards, right on time. He checked it out, it DIDN'T work again and he decided to switch the modem box. So, when he did that, I lost all of my service! I just set at my table, laughing at him and telling him this is what I expected to happen! Seems as though he got pissed off---oh, well. I subscribe to Time-Warner's, 'All-In-One' package---I pay $150.00 per month for high-speed RoadRunner internet service, unlimited long distance phone service and the regular T.V. package, nothing special, 100 stations, I believe. SO, for this money, I want service and I admit I became upset and my respondses were somewhat derisive. Oh, well---I expected it! Finally, after another hour, the tech got everything fixed and working well. I am a happy monkey.
A quarter-hour later, my heart doctor called with the results from my stress tests. It seems as though I have a major blockage in some vein. It seems as though I have developed a ventriculiar arrythymia, (big-time, scary problem---I could drop in an instant), yet then the doc said sometimes these tests are false positives! False positives, indeed! I feel no symptoms at all, I feel good---just tired, as usual. He suggested a cardiac-cath procedure next and I reminded him that I had one 6 years ago and was told I was normal for my age, (this was from another doc), so then he changed the observation to a medium blockage! Anything to get more of my money! I said I would schedule the next visit in about a month and that pissed him off. Oh, well---this will give me time for another opinion. No symptoms at all---remember?
On a high side. I had two more children enrolled in my day care service. That means that there will be two more women show up for work every day at the job where I placed them! Cool! I don't know what the market price is for this service---I will charge $5.00 per day. That is good. I will be able to get tax breaks, as well. Hey, I am an American businessman! My dear sweet Breath is working on her days off to offer the health care for casual problems. She is such a trooper---I feel guilty that I don't answer her question about marriage, yet.
You know---I make many decisions in my life and responsible for all of them. I am not right all of the time. Oh, well. Obviously, my first three marriage decisions weren't right. This one has to be. I am not anxious to grow old alone.
So---I am home and sitting in my robe and slippers. I bought 2 lamb chops at the market a couple of days ago and I made a shepherds pie for my dinner. I will mix up a little horseradish sauce to serve with it and I will be satiated! Right now, a cold Sam Adams beer and my evening news---thanks for your ears!
From Milwaukee---this is Cork.
