Good Morning, Milwaukee---Good Morning, My Peeps---this is Cork-----
Dear Dia------------dear blog------------Well, I have been up for a while---I got my token 3 hours sleep and was up by 1:00 a.m., for the late night movies! Watched a very good drama on SciFi---titled "12:01", the only big name was Martin Landeau but the flick was fast moving and certainly descriptive of our future!
Twilight Zone now---waiting for my morning paper---hopefully there will be no drama like yesterday! I cut up some fresh fruit that is well ripened---some crackers and some chocolate powder waiting for a bath of hot water! That will be good enough to start my day!
First of all---I am heading to Chicago, (O'Hare Airport), to pick up Maria. She should be fresh from Mexico City but she said she had to make 2 changes---oh, well, I hope she is there on time. I am sure glad to see her back. I kind of left the house untidy over the weekend, Maria needs to feel wanted---I remember seeing her purse her lips and make that little sucking/tsking-tsking noise when she looks at what some other woman has done to clean HER HOUSE, the house Maria is in charge of! I am sure you readers can relate! I sure love her though---I hope she stays in my employ---stays as my friend---forever!
Incidentally, Breath has certainly done well to keep the place tidy! Too bad she is still so pissed off at me. No problem---I will work it out!
At 2:55 a.m., I looked out an east facing window and saw a bright, shooting star! It looked like it may have fallen into Lake Michigan---so close! I will call the T.V. station that I always watch for local news---maybe someone has reported or observed it, as well! It sure was startling bright---moving from south to north in the eastern sky and about 20 degrees over the horizon. Maybe some of my readers have seen it!
Well, my morning paper has just hit the porch---I will read it and have a little breakfast, shower and blast into the next day of the rest of my life! May you enjoy your day as well! Listen to a bird sing---smell a flower---look at a beautiful young girl---try to catch her wafting perfume and, most of all, smile when you greet someone! It takes such little effort to kickstart someone elses day!
From my desk to your ears---thanks---this is Cork.
