My mother knits and crochets and has so for years. She's been offered hundreds of dollars for some of her creations, but never once has charged anyone a dime. I have been through all fifty states in my lifetime and I would venture a guess that I have seen at least two or three hundred shops that were started from these beautiful homemade creations. So my answer is YES people love to buy these handcrafted items, and my mom could be retired, living in pretty comfortable conditions, playing her slot machines everyday in Las Vegas had she charged even as little as $25.00 for each afaghan she ever crocheted.
