| My Final Blog |
So I'm finally getting around to writing my last blog. I've been back for 4 weeks now and I believe I'm finally adjusted to the 12 hour time difference.
As for my return trip home, it was easy. It started off a little rough in Shenzhen as originally I was told they did not have ticket for me. After being passed off from one worker to the next, they finally told me they had a ticket but it wasn't paid for. Again, after 10 minutes, they printed my ticket and handed to me. Then, one of my checked bags came in 2kgs overweight so I had to redistribute the weight and finally they just allowed it to go through without having to pay.
My flight from Shenzhen to Shanghai was under 2 hours and went smoothly. Once in Shanghai, everything went smoothly again. I had to go collect my bags and check in for the flight to Atlanta. I had to wait about 1.5 hours but it wasn't bad.
I boarded my Delta flight direct to Atlanta and got my seat. Luckily, I had an entire row to myself because the plane was so empty. Unfortunately, I didn't know this earlier so I was stuck in a 2 seat row instead of a 3, which then I would've been able to fully lie down, but oh well. This flight went perfect. It was possibly the best flight I've ever had. Yes, it was 14 hours but they provided us with private screens and they had a great movie selection as well as tv episode selection all for free. I wasn't able to sleep on the plane but that was fine because I simply watched tv shows and movies the entire 14 hours. It's easy to do when you haven't seen any American tv shows in almost 9 months.
I landed, my way through customs and security with no problems and met Mom and Dad waiting for me when I came up the escalators.
All in all, it was a great trip. Not just the flight back but all of China and the little bit of Malaysia and Singapore I was able to see and experience. I definitely recommend visiting China if you're able to handle flying for a long period of time. It's a beautiful country with amazing food and a very different culture that's interesting.
If, when, I take another trip, I'll be sure to continue to post on this blog. I hope anyone who has read this has enjoyed my posts and pictures.
