Friday we had our first indoor soccer game, we got killed. haha I've played soccer once... at marshall, 8th grade, so i'm not much of a player haha, but i've got enough athletic ability to get away with it. but its a co ed league and we played a group of guys who've obv. played together before and pretty hardcore. well be playing every friday.
i went out tonight we Ketura, my neighbro from vermont, she had three guy friends visiting who toook a semester off and are just traveling all over. we took them out to show them a good night, adn boy did we, me and Tisto, one of the guys stayed out till 6, watched the stars with some friends, and came home when the sun was up. i had a bus to get on at 830... haha not good shape.
I had joined the canoe/kayak club, and we were going on a begginners trip 3 hours north on Rangitikei River, i was still intoxicated and on no sleep. This wasn't just nice lake kayaking with no movement, but instead white water rapids,, ahha it was a lil much for me, the rocks and current and eddies ( the calm spots behind rocks and lines in water that can flip your boat beucase of water current change) was too extreme for me. I'm glad i tried it though. The camping out part of course was my favorite, but night one i was so beat, from no sleep the night before i went to bed early. Day two of kayaking was more extreme, i started out rough flipping twice and was shooken up, becuase no one was able to "rescue" me or help flip me back over i had to release my cover and swim out of my boat, not fun. I was just ready to be done but still had almost 2.5 miles more to go, one lady was really great and helped me out cusae she knew i was just too frustrated and not digging the whole kayak thing, I enjoy kayaking but more on a Lake. :) haha
Came home sunday evening and caught up with the roomates about their wine tasting festival they went on. |
