 religion
you know what I HATE?
i hate thoes hard core christians (any religion for that matter)
who try to shove their religion down your throat (my grandma)
i have no problem with you believeing that god is that creator and such but not everyone has to believe that

i also hate the fact that the believe that god is the ONE and ONLY solution to problems example:
my "step mother" is kinda controlling so my grandma says the ONLY way for her to become more confident in herself and stop trying to controll things isto except the lord into her heart......
insain

my grandma's ways to fix things
sicknesses: pray to get better
trouble in marrige: pry for the problems to go away
i think you get the picture

i am also bothered by the fact that they believe that god will fix everything for themselves THERE ARE MORE WAYS TO FIX PROBLEMS!

again i have no problems with people who are rele into religion just get it into perspective....god didnt want your whole lives to be about him

and i love my grandma very much

You can live a secular life and still love God. God is the reason we are here so ultimately even if someone finds a solution to their problems, God had some part in that. Merry Christmas!

There are problems that an individual can't fix by themselves by working hard, but there are others that are special that take faith and prayers to get resolve. These are the ones that bring us closer to God and gives an understanding we all need a little faith sometimes. Merry Christmas :-)

Oh yea, I hate it too if people wanna shove soemthing down my throat... I am totally fine with people believing in god or whoever and having their religion and being happy with it, as long as they dont try to make me believe in it.
I am glad everyone I know accepts I do not believe in god, and dont wanna go to church, etc... I think I have tolerant friends and family (some of them are christians, some atheists, some have other religions, ...)

Oh, and yep there are other ways to fix problems =) I have fixed everything so far without praying. and by that I mean I have never ever prayed in my whole life... ;) and guess what? I am still here, all happy, all problems solved so far... hehe

So, if the creator of the universe can't fix your problems, then who can? Weak, powerless humans? We can do nothing for ourselves. Humans can only live on their own emotional (and sometimes physical) strength for so long before they break down. Not everything is God's will, and if he doesn't answer your prayers, it means he either wants you to wait until the time is right, or that he has a better plan for you. And "TheBrain" I'm gonna read through just one of your blogs, and see how many of your problems you have solved all by yourself, with no help. And yes, God wants to be included in every area of your life. And your life will be a thousand times better if he is. I guarantee it.

I'm really sorry if I'm being annoying :P

not annoying i like seeing others point of views.....and if god fixesall ur problems you'll never learn to stand on your own.......if uve done something right people wont be sure uve done anything at all
im not saying he doesnt want to be apart of all aspects in your life im saying he doesnt want your life to completley revolve around him

Are you a Christian? And yes, I see where you're coming from. But you don't have to stand on your own in this world. If god is in your life, you'll never have any reason to have to stand on your own. :)

Prayer is incredibly powerful, and God asks us to pray and ask Him for help. He loves hearing from us. BUT, God does not expect us to just sit on the sidelines. I can see where both of you are coming from.
We are called to pray and trust God can care for us and anything we need, yet He also calls us to action. There are times when we must rely on Him because there is nothing we can do. But we must pray and see where He wants us to take action and how...
does that make sense?

that does make sense and yes i am christian

Well of course, we can't throw ourself off a building and expect god to catch us, that would be idiotic. We have to take action as well, and he isn't always gonna put all of the answers in front of your face, he makes you look for him sometimes
