I just don't know if I can contain my excitement!!

This might not appear to be that exciting at all to anyone else, but I am finally having my new bathroom done!

I have now been on and off nagging my husband about getting it sorted for 3 or maybe 4 years at least.
Well we sorted out a plumber out to do the job right at the very end of last year and the husband had done all the plans (he's an architect) and all was looking good to go, except I wasn't quite sure about this curvy shower screen we had initially picked out, I thought there was going to be a lot of wasted and unusable space, even though we are taking the bath out.

So I pondered on it a while and found a shower screen I liked much more and essentially told him to get on with it. Sadly I was informed I couldn't have this screen as there wasn't enough room because of the window reveal (still no idea what that's about!!) so flippantly I suggested we moved the window!

Well it was decided that actually my idea was a pretty good one as we were saving money by not having the curved shower screen. (I am wasted in music obviously and should be an architect!!) So then we needed to get a builder in to take the old window out and brick up and knock bits of wall out and put a new window in. Well being the ever cynical one, the husband will only use one builder who he knows and trusts. The only thing is in this area he is the ONLY builder that everyone else uses and trusts also!

Anyway eventually this builder sent a couple of his lads around to measure up for the job and order a new window for us.

Well 3 weeks later the window arrived and they had done all the knocking out and were full steam ahead to put the new window in, which they did bless them with the minimum amount of fuss or more importantly, mess.

So we then contacted the plumber who is now stupid busy and doesn't know when he can fit us in! All the new fixtures and fittings were sat in the shop warehouse for ages waiting for the project to start!

So you can imagine my excitement as the plumber has just phoned and is going to start on Monday of next week, so I will have my lovely new bathroom for Christmas!!

HOORAY!!!!!
