I hate all the hype about Autism recently. It is like a whole scare is going on. People don't realize that the number of cases of autism hasn't changed over the years. There have been better ways to diagnose it recenlty.

Anothet thing is these "cures". There is no cure. Being Autistic is like being retarded (not the symptoms, just hear me out). You can give a retarded person all the help and support they need. You can take them to all different life classes and everyhing. They can even almost have a totally "normal" life but in the end they are still retarded.

Same thing with being Autistic. You just are. Now I don't know what causes Autism but I am pretty sure it isn't anything all mothers need to freak out about.

My little sister is Autistic. What people don't understand is that there are different severities of it. If you were to see my little sister out in town you might think she was a little weird or maybe a social outcast but thats about it. She has a totally normal life, goes to school, has a job, everything.

I just hate how everyone get all hyped up about it now a days.

I am no expert but I have had a lot of experience with special needs kids. I used to coach swimming for the special olympics. My mother has been a special ed teacher for years now and I go in and help her when ever I can. If you have anything to add or comment on please do. Also any questions on this topic feel free to ask.
