| Moving is Hard...unless you use All My Sons

I move EVERY single year. Sometimes its to a new city (yay college!). Sometimes its a mile or two down the road. And every year I've begged and bribed my friends and family to let me borrow their (wo)manpower and trucks to move my packrat-esque collection of stuff from point A to point B. This was great for me....until I started buying furniture I care about, and items (like my full collection of Riedel stemware) I wanted to keep for a long time. Suddenly, my friends and their haphazard moving "techniques" were, lucky for them, just not cutting it.
So what to do? I had to find a reliable, professional moving company that wasn't going to charge me ridiculous prices or damage my stuff. I asked around and got horror story after horror story about who NOT to work with.
Finally, I posted the question on craigslist and got an overwhelming response for All My Sons Moving and Storage. Most of the responses were from people moving in Dallas, but a lot of them were people who made the move to Dallas from strange, far off places like Sacramento or Raleigh. So I called and got a quote...and a few weeks later found myself in my new cozy house with all of my stuff undamaged! Miraculous? Yes, yes it was. All My Sons sent out three great movers (thanks Raul, Pete and Terry!) just for little old me. They were so nice, which was a relief from the gruff, scary guys I had pictured. They moved everything so fast, but they were so careful, too. They wrapped all of my furniture in this squishy pad stuff. I'm all of 5 feet and was scared I'd still have to beg my friends to help drag pieces of furniture into this room or that, but they even did all of that for me! When they left, my bed was set up, all of my living room furniture was where I wanted it, and the boxes were stacked neatly in the side room. This moving company rocks. They made my move so easy. I'll never use anyone else!
