 Jennifer's Body

If you enjoyed Juno then you will definitely love this new upcoming movie from the duo Jason Reitman & Diablo Cody! And this isn't no soft hearted little fluff comedic family film. Jason didn't direct this one but he did have a hand in producing though.

This time Megan Fox joins aboard as Jennifer, the high school cheerleader who's demon inside of her eats boys. This is one dark comedy horror flick i won't miss!! It's looks fun! Take a look for yourself, this is the Red Band trailer - I will have none of this Green Band trailer stuff with swear words and violence cut out lol.

Enjoy! --

I have no idea what red band and green band are...

But, I have no interest in dark, scary wannabe comedy type movies. Even if I have come to respect Megan Fox...and, I'd hate to lose that respect. This is not something I expected her to do...She's a bit of an Angelina Jolie how she flips movie styles. Why would she play high school? She just started college:P(Transformers 2).

Ok, I caved and watched...I can't believe Mama Mia girl ended up in something like this. Not exactly a step up. This looks hot(just Megan), but something sure doesn't smell right about it. Pass.

What's that piece of music in the background?

She flips movie genres because why would she want to get stuck doing the same kind of movies over and over again? It's good that she's broadening her horizons and being virsatile. Besides, after she had words with Michael Bay recently, I don't know if she'd wanna do another movie with his arrogant ass. I applaud her for making this bold leap into something completely off the wall different. I think next I heard she's gonna be appearing in the remake of Wonder Woman, and speaking of Angelina Jolie, Fox is rumored to be sought after for playing the younger version of Lara Croft in the next Tomb Raider movie. So, there ya go.

Red Band trailers are trailers that don't shy away from leaving in the swearing and violence in the actual preview. And Green Band is just the complete opposite, those are the everyday trailers that are publicly "appropriate" for viewers lol.

lol Ok not everything has to be a step up for actors. It's ok to take a step back and do something weird, crazy, creatively different and not expected.

There's two songs in that trailer:

The Runaways - Cherry Bomb

The Waitresses - I Know What Boys Like

I am curious where you found a red band trailer, then?

I applaud her for telling off Bay after what I heard about the explosion risking the actors' lives. But, I think that pretty much F's up Bay's chance of doing another TF film:P He really dug a hole this time...and how sad I am for one of my childhood genres if it's over like that.

I understand not wanting to be type-cast...but when an actor/actress does something SO different that she/he turns into something else...don't you think that might upset some fans? It's like forcing someone to love an angel AND a demon in one. Why can't angels remain angels? Why mix the two? Like lil miss Mama Mia there...this is surely gonna be a trashy movie like Tarrantino's Grindhouse or Sin City but with a high school flair and plenty of perverse language.

For me, that takes away from the respect I've found for Megan Fox. I learned that she wanted to be a comic book artist back when Witchblade was first hot. That was interesting to learn.

I do NOT want to see her as Lara Croft NOR Wonder Woman. She doesn't fit the parts. She hasn't earned it either.

I knew the second song...which is lame.

Ok, thanks for the first song info.

You can find Red Band trailers on You Tube.

Why mix the two? Because why stick to just one kind of thing?? That in itself doesn't make any sense.

And I honestly loved Grindhouse and Sin City. See you just type casted Jennifer's Body and judged it to being like Grindhouse and Sin City before you saw the entre film haha. At least give it a fair chance before you crucify the film. Be open.

What has happened to movie audiences?? Have people forgotten that cinema is suppose to be entertaining and fun and not always serious? Movies aren't meant to be taken seriously. I have a lot of respect for the art form of film, and it's simply amazing how far movies have come. To be able to tell a story with a series of moving pictures? Come on. And now these days anything is possible, the imagination is endless. Why not take advantage of that?

Is it possible that the filmmaker didn't make the picure the way audiences thought they would? Of course, but the filmmaker's intentions are most of the time, pure. They only want to entertain people with a story told in their own original way. And i think i feel bad for the filmmakers cuz they're so stuck on the thought of trying to please people, when they should only try to keep in mind that they're there to make audiences feel something, whether it's happy or sad or scared.

Yeah it might upset some fans that an actor/actress wants to go another way, but the fans also have to realize that those actors/actresses are gonna wanna be creatively open and can't always be so enclosed doing the same old thing with every film. They wanna show they can do a wide range of things and plays all sorts of characters. If every actor or actress worried about doing only films that their fans wanted them to do it would seriously become boring and the actor or actress would lose their love for acting. If a fan is a true fan they will support that actor or actress in WHATEVER character they play or film they star in. That fan will follow that actor/actress anywhere, and not lose their love and admiration for the star if they do something different.

Oh that's awesome! That's cool that you're into horror films!

pretty much all I will watch. The drama ones stress me out..especially if they are like love stories. Not a big fan of those. So NO...I haven't seen the Notebook.

LOL i was even gonna ask: So you haven't seen The Notebook??

Psh, yea right:P If movie makers were out to please the audience...why change a book when making it a movie? Why totally reface Transformers...well, we've beat that horse, haven't we?:P I don't think any movie maker is really doing a good job of reaching the audience. Most movies seem slapped together. And, then they throw scraps on the DVD and call it a special edition. Puh leez.

If I was an actor, I'd want roles that suited my tastes. And, sure, I'd like to show range. But, I'd never do a horror movie. And, I don't think I would do a war drama. So, I just weed out the NO THANKS and stick with what I feel good about. Simple as that. Range is one thing. But, when you try too many things, it's like "I will do any role if they pay me.". Not sure that's always a good thing.

And, if horror movies are laughable, then they are not horror. I was thinking about this today...going to a horror movie and laughing. What is wrong with this picture? And, yet, people tell me of this reaction so often. It defeats the point.

The last time I was open to films, I was reviewing films for an independent festival. Most of what I had to watch was really disturbing crap. And, after years of watching movies--just like a music producer judges a new singer or a dance expert judges a new dancer--I have an eye for film. But, you are right...I might be a lil hasty. Still, this one would probably make me like Megan Fox less...and I don't want that.

Again you're taking films way too seriously. Loosen up! LOL My goodness. And there's nothing wrong with going over the top in horror movies, that's why they become laughable. It's called HAVING A GOOD TIME. Haha you should try it. It's great to intermix genres, like adding comedy with a horror film, or drama with comedy, or action with horror and suspense. Why have everything black and white and separate? That's just boring.

Why change the book when making it into a movie???? Because 1.) There's no way movies can hold everything that's in the book. In the book you can go into detail, but when translating that into a film you have to be able to make decisions to cut parts out or change them to make them more entertaining. It would seriously get long and drawn out if you put everything from the book into a film. Movies are all about getting to the point. Not drawing things out, if you want detail then read the book and stick to it. 2.) People have to understand that films and books are two different mediums. And sure there's the central plot contained in both the film and the book, but things are going to be changed around. It's the filmmaker's creative right to make it different. When the author signs over the rights of the book to the filmmaker, the author damn well knows that the story is gonna change once it's put on film. Stephen King understands and accepts this, why can't you? Sure the author can have his/her input during the filmmaking process. And the filmmaker will ask for input cuz they wanna keep the spirit of the story intact and try to stay truthful to the book but they will, in the end, go in a different direction.

And they reface Transformers because this is the new age and the filmmakers and producers are not gonna make the same old thing they use to put in the cartoons. They're initial idea is "Let's spice it up! Make it cutting edge!" I know there's the NUTTY die hard fans. But wow, let go. lol -

And not every actor is the way you paint them out to be with the "Oh I%u2019ll do any movie role if they pay me!" Yeah I won't lie, there are some out there like that. But actors/actresses want the roles cuz A.) It'll bump up their status and put them on the map....or B.) A certain character grabs them and the story is interesting and they get excited reading the script.

And audiences need to stop having such HIGH expectations! The thing I found is that if you have way too high of expectations for a movie, more often than not you WILL be let down. So I say go into that theater with an open and just enjoy the ride and most importantly HAVE FUN. That's the whole point of the movies. Jeez. I really don't get it with these stiff, tight ass movie goers who take the movies so seriously. I'll never understand it lol.

Look, its the same problem we have here with lazy writers. If you know you can write more properly...but you just don't bother. Yer lazy! If your English skills aren't great, fine. You work at it. But, you don't rely on spellcheck and editors. I just was reading a book and an instruction manual the other day that were in English but horribly written. It looks bad.

A lazy filmmaker(or a guy with an ego like you say Bay has) is not going to respect the original material. If I was the author, I'd be a lil pissed with the result. I want to see my characters come to life. Not the same name for a dark wizard now on a guy in a clown suit doing magic tricks. Lighten up? No, movie makers need to really respect the originators. Otherwise, spirits die.

The closest thing to horror mixed with comedy that worked was Hot Fuzz. But, even that was a lil gorey for me. Watchmen--which ironically was very close to original material, so I've been told--was a disaster of mixing sex with horrific violence. Like mixing chocolate with tomato sauce.

I have fun at many movies. If I didn't, they wouldn't get positive reviews from me.

I aim to prove you wrong. I will find a way to see a movie through in conveying detail. I believe it is very possible to stick to the book and just leave out lil details that are filler or finery which may not be necessary to the plot.

The Harry Potter movies are often heavy on lil details. And, my sis is happy to point out what is different or missing. She wasn't happy with either the first or second film for omitting a house segment.

If so many movies were so much fun...why wouldn't more people be seeing them and liking them? If I want to stare at a screen without using my brain, I can stare at the "boob tube" at home.

Don't always have to use your brain while watching movies. People go to the movies to get away from their exhausting routine lives and relax. Movies can be a learning tool AND a source of entertainment. Doesn't have to be just one or the other haha.

Hot Fuzz was gorey for you???? lol Oh my God. That movie was tame compared to a lot of other films I've seen! You ever see Dead Alive? THAT movie was hysterically funny AND unimaginably gorey. But I had fun watching it though. Watchmen yes, was very very close to the original material simply because Zack Snyder had a respect for the graphic novel and wanted to stick close to it. Yeah I did hear it got flack for mixing sex and violence. Although I think it's really to do that because sex and violence have been up on the silver screen since the dawn of cinema. So I don't get it. I personally have no quarls with sex and violence mixed in one film. I think of film like an empty canvas. People are allowed to put whatever they want on it and shouldn't have to worry about what other people think. If they like it they like, if not then oh well. If it makes the filmmakers happy and they're pleased with what they put up on the screen in the finished product then, great!

I don't know, I'm just really more relaxed when it comes to movies and don't really view the art form as something I should take seriously. It's like an adventure every time I see a movie.
