I'm becoming what I despise
Can't you see the irony?
I'm drowning myself in little white lies
Can't seem to speak truthfully
I'm falling into an apathetic state
Don't seem to have anymore sympathy
I'm trying to fight it
But I think its too late
Don't even try to help me
I'm searching for a ray of hope
Don't know if I'll ever find it
I'm learning how not to cope
Don't see any point
I'm becoming what I despise

read my purgatory post, at least you are taking steps to not that. I stay in a relationship where I should run because I feel as if I'm obligated to. I like your poems monsters, I'm gonna try to catch up with the rest.
