| New York Times Best Seller |
I am a writer. I have only recently discovered this secret power at the ripening old age of 65, and I think it would be wise to use it before it diminishes any further. Since I am starting a career rather late in life I choose to be audacious and entitle my first work, "NYTBS*" or How One Small Community Defied The Odds and Wrote A New York Times Best Seller. As the title implies, I am blazing new ground here, involving the community in this project, but I am not so audacious that I can't realize that I won't be able to pull this off without the contributions of significant "others".
The plan is I do most of the heavy lifting/writing and the "others" will chip in with editorial consultation, graphic content, moral and immoral support, free paper and such. When we start becoming a viable concern, I will take a hundred grand off the top, retire with dignity for a while at our Casa Fisherrero in Baja, and leave the rest to be evenly distributed among the "others" and the charities of their choice (which will receive ample coverage in an extensive index area at the end of the NYTBS).
As you will see if you choose to hang out with me for a while, I will employ every means and every ounce of talent I possess to craft this NYTBS. I will not knowingly commit illegal acts, but I can't promise I won't dabble in the occult, open inter-dimensional portals or use performance enhancing compounds, to get the job done. If you think you have something to add to the mix, maybe you were destined to share in the wacky weirdness that is becoming "NYTBS". Bring it on!
From here on I will be uploading pages in roughly the same order that they were written. I started the process a year ago, so we've got a lot o catching up to do. For my part, I've got to learn the fine ponts of blogging and how to best get my "gonzo scrapbook" into your hands, so let's get busy.
