I'm J, living on south coast of England with husband also J. Been married for 9 years and living together for 11. J works in IT and just now I'm between jobs but I do some modelling at a semi pro level to keep me amused.
 
We both decided ages ago we would like children, but I've never felt quite like it was the right time. That was until this year. I woke up one morning in January and decided thats it, I want children, and I'd like them before I'm 30. I'm was 29 in April so it didn't leave me all that long. Yet I still didn't want them just yet.

That was until June. It hit me sqaure between the eyes that I want a baby. And I don't mean I want to try for one next year, that I'd rather fancy one just now thank you very much. I was very nervous telling J this, and he surprised me by having done a lot of research on the subject already. I guess he was just waiting for me to wake up and decide it was the right time.

So we decided that the best time to start trying would be right after my last period. Specifically the week after it finished. I'd been on the oill since I was 17 and my mum marched me down the doctors and had me out on it. I also changed contraceptive pills from Ovranette to Yasmin a few years ago, which I found easier to deal with. I'd come off the pill sometime last year and had been off it until May this year, so some months and only went back so I could plan my periods around my social calendar. I know,  terribly girly thing to do but it was convenient. I came back off the pill again in June, right at the start, and didn't resume taking it after the last period.
