Part 4, Marie
Marie awoke in a panic, looking around her frantically, she jumped from her bed and raced from room to room, "Where are you? whats wrong?" she was shouting, "Why are you screaming?!!!" the noise was loud, screams of a man, loud, excrusiatingly painful screams, Marie ran down the stairs, turning on lights, tears falling from her darkened eyes"Why are you screaming?" she called out over and over again, she searched the house many times, she couldn't bare it any longer, the noise wasn't slowing, just a contunuous cry.
Back in her room, she sat on the edge of the bed, weeping, the louder her sobbing became, the lower the screams came, she noticed this, "Can you hear me?" she said softly" Do you know I can hear you?" she sniffled, the screaming got louder once more and she threw herself onto her pillow pulling the other over her head in an attempt to drown out the sounds.
When Marie opened her eyes, there was silence, it was dark, darker than she recalled it being, reching for the tissues on her nightstand to wipe her wet face, she realised that they werent' there, she fumbled for the light, that was gone too, slipping off the bed, she walked towards the main light switch, starting to panic as it wasn't there, feeling her way along the walls, she eventually came to a switch, thinking she was just confused due to the upset and lack of sleep she flicked the switch, instant light, a dull light as it was, she found that she wasn't in her own home, not her room, this calmed her strangley, and a smile began to appear on her face, 'I'm dreaming' she thoughts excitidly "David?" she called out "Are you here?" moving fast now she began to search and explore, she was in a house, it was a lived in house obviously, a little dull, but nice all the same, it had a warm feeling of home to it, walking towards the staircase, thinking of going downstairs 'He would have answered me if he were up here' she mused in her head, at the top of the stairs she realised it was a dark walk down, and looked for a switch to the hall lights, finding it on the wall at the top stair she turned it on, still smiling to herself, the light shone on the stairs and she began her decent down, the first thing she noticed was the front door, a few feet from the foot of the stairs, and what looked like yellow ribbon laying on the floor beside it, she got to the foot of the stairs and walked toward the ribbon, now she saw that it wasn't ribbon, it was police tape, it was fairly old and torn, as she bent to pick it up she was aware that her bear feet were standing in something that wasn't carpet, looking down at the floor, the dark stain that surrounded her feet became obvious to her as to its identity, it was blood, dried blood, Marie jumped back away from it, she knelt down to inspect it further, then she heard movement at the top of the stairs, spinning round and too her feet, she hear his voice, calling out "Are you here?"
"Yes!" cried Maire, she took a step back towards the bottom step, there was a scream and she saw him falling towards, her, Marie screamed out as David fell from step to step, hitting his head at the bottom and landing with his head directly apon the red stain, she rushed over to his still body, she was sure he was dead, looking back at the stairs, she saw the woman walking towards her, broad smile on her face, dressed litterally to kill, "What have you done?" Marie Wailed "How could you do this, call an ambulence!" she pleaded, she realised that the woman couldn't see her or hear her, the smartly dressed woman walked over to where David lay, smiling down at him, she spoke "It was fun babe, but i've got to go...sweet dreams" she obviously thought that last part highly amusing and she chuckled to herself as she stepped over David and opened the front door, taking one last look back, she laughed again, and was gone, Marie raced to the door after her, she flung the door open, but she had gone.
Marie didn't know what to do or think, turning back round, David was gone, the stain was still there, though it looked fresher than when she first came apon it, and she realised that on the outside of the door the tape was neatly taped accross the doorway, 'What is going on?' she thought and walked back into the house, sitting on the stairs, she started to sob gently with confusion, 'What does this mean?' she pondered, 'Is he dead? is that why i haven't dreampt in almost three months?' a noise snapped her from thought, a key in the door made her get to her feet, taking a step back, unsure weather she should hide or run or what, she hushed her breathing til she thought she may pass out with the tension, as the door swung open she nearly tripped backward as the bandaged man walked into the house, "David!" she exclaimed "You are alright, I was so worried..I.." he couldn't hear her, 'Ok' she thought, 'i'm in his memory aren't I, or am I in his future? I don't know, this must be important, I must be here for a rason' so she bagan to watch, comfortable in the knowledge that no one could see her or even feel her there.
David walked into the hallway, throwing the police tape to the floor, his head bandaged, although he looked fine physically, Marie could sense his sadness, she followed him into the kitchen, where he grabbed for a bottle of scotch from the cupboard, pouring himself a large portion, he walked into the living room and slumped down into the sofa, there was a knock at the door and David rose from his seat, peared out of the window then walked out to the front door, It was a man, Marie had not seen him before
"Come in Detective" david gestured towards the living room
"I wont if you don't mind Mr Macenzie, I just have some good news for you"
"Oh yes? "David didn't sound particularly interested
"We aprehended Miss Tailor about an hour ago, she has made a full confession, and we hope to have a court date set within hours" The DI beamed, holding a hand out to David, in congratulation or perhaps for some recognotion of his deed, David limply shook his hand "Well thank you for letting me know, will you be needing me at all?" he asked almost bitterly
"Well..err.. no sir, not until the case starts, you will get notification through the post, and you might want to get yourself a solicitor, just make sure she doesn't get away with it, they think they can get off lightly nowadays just for confessing, well thats between you and me you understand Sir" he looked slightly sheepish at his own words, "Well thank you Detective, is there anything else i can do for you? David sounded impatient now
"Well no, I think thats about it Sir, I thought it best to tell you personally, rather than a phonecall you know"
"Ok then, thank you for letting me know, i'll be seeing you then" David started to close the door, the DI looked a little put out, but walked away anyway with a small wave and polite goodbye.
As David walked from the door, the mail fell through the letterbox to the matt, David looked coldly at it, and continued walking away without gathering it up, Maire couldn't resist, she looked down at the mail, and saw there were alot of cards, and bills, and then she thought, turning one of the envelopes around she smiled to herself, she thought with her eyes closed for a moment or two then placed it back on the floor with the others, standing again she opened the front door, walked outside, down the path to the front gate, she looked down the street both ways, taking everything in as she did so, the bus stop at the end of the street, the small Catholic church opposite, the house accross the street from Davids, with a garden full of childrens toys and a yappy Boarder Collie, that acted as though it could see her, showing its teeth in confusion of her pressence.
Marie walked back towards the house, and as she did the darkness swiftly set in, 'something must be happening' she thought and raced back up the path and into the house once more.
She knew that this was the time she urgently had to wake up, but it clearly wasn't anyone elses intention, so she looked for David, he was standing, looking out of the back window into his garden, still with glass in hand, she realised he was crying, she so desperatly wanted to hold him, to comfort him, now she understood what had happened the last time they had met, and why he hadn't found her as he promised, she wanted to tell him it was all ok, she could find him now, she had everything she needed to get to him, and that they could finally be together, she noticed his bandage was gone, and that what she was now seeing was some time on, perhaps even weeks after the Detective had called, David turned from the window over to the table that held his whisky bottle, Marie wished he wouldn't drink so much "Oh David!" she declared as if he could hear her "Everything will be wonderful, you will see, now it is my turn to make you happy, I will suprise you and I can't wait to see the look on your face when it is I knocking on your front door for the first time, I wish you could hear me, I wish you would sleep, then you could join me here and we can celebrate, some wonderful force has decided that we can be together now, and has shown me the way to find you" she was flouncing around the room talking, almost giddy, she hadn't noticed that he had left the room and was now reentering, she rushed over to him, he strode pityfully towards the desk in the corner of the room, Marie could just make out the sounds of the bath running upstairs, and as David sat down to write she felt herself begin to fade away from him, "I will see you very soon David, I love you"
Marie stirred in her bed, she was still under the pillow from when she fell asleep, she sat upright and thought to herself, rumaging in the draw of her nightstand she quickley grabbed a pen and scribbled down the address she had remembered from the dream, throwing on some clothes she grabbed her car keys, bag and phone, and rushed out of the door, as she drove down the street, left hand in the glove compartment searching for the UK A-Z, finding it she dropped it into the pasenger seat and reached in her bag for her phone, dilaing directory inquiries, she asked for the phone number of a Mr Macenzie, David Macenzie, number 14 Highdown Road, Gateshead...............
and to be continued.....

God you are good!
I love it.
I also love your new profile page.
I want my homepage to be cool.
Want to send me some tips?
Love you Miss Z.
I am feeling better, I feel like writing and visiting journals again.
My profile seems shabby compared to yours though.
Please send me the sites, that you found all of that cool background on.
Maybe I will give you my password, and you can tweak mine for me, in beautiful blue and black colors.
Again, I love your mystery man stories, but, I am trying to forget my mystery man.
He is no longer a mystery.
He is God.
God, I am in love with friggin' God himself.
I had a better chance with the King of France!!!
hehe.
Love you, thanks for always being here for me, my sweet secret diary.
