Great Post!!
My advice to you is start small ... set yourself goals then prioritise which goals you want to achieve first - and which goals are most important to you.
I would also suggest to start small - so you can start off by achieving a few small wins!! Which will make you feel good about yourself, and assist your will power to kick in ..
GOOD POST and GOOD LUCK - I'll check back in to see how you are going! :) |

You asking me? I always find it easier to jump in rather than ease into anything. I have a foolproof diet, guaranteed, used it many times in my reckless youth. Here it is... spend all your money on clothes, Voila! no money for food!
I'm sure it works on smoking too. |

| get mentally prepared before you physically do anything. if its a weight issue, write it down on a peice of paper and tape it somewhere people will see it, only the number. that way when they ask you can say okay this is .... and then it will keep you on your toes as i'm sure a lot of people wouldnt want to keep their weight for everyone to see. it helps and keeps you motivated. :) you are beautiful missy :) |

| Just look at it this way...no one else can do it but you...there's no easy way around it...you either do it or you don't...and if you don't, there's no reason to beat yourself up over it...if at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again...you'll do great :) |

It helped me reporting to a clinic every two weeks and have a test to see if I smoked or not
I think psychologically my thought of embracement overruled my willpower not to stop, amongst other things.
It worked for me Missy
Good Luck x

Hey... I'm on a diet! lol... yes, really! But I make sure I do it publicly so I can't be seen to fail.
Last time I did it for the club trust and lost 3 stones in 3 months. Put it back on in another 2 years... so this time it's for the animal charity my sons volunteer for.... I'm quoted as saying, in two local rags, that I'm going to lose 2 stone in three months (trying to be kinder on myself than last time), and that when I've done that, I'll do another 2. Hubby's doing it also, along with three ladies from the charity. In that kind of spotlight, how can I possibly stand the shame of failure!!!
It works for me, anyway!
Smoking... ha. Now that's a slightly different matter. I'm a lifelong smoker who doesn't smoke. I find it easier to say I'll always be a smoker on the wagon, than try to say I've stopped... that way I never stop working at it.
If you weaken, don't bash yourself. Be forgiving, you're human after all... but make a fresh start every new day.
Wasn't it Dave Allen who famously said that he gave up smoking every time he put one out? lol.... it's a bit like that, but only you know if you can dive in at the deep end or whether you'd prefer slow torture!
Look babe, I've been there with both these issues... and I HAVE to keep going due to health issues.
If you want support you know where to find me, and you have my number... just call.
Be gentle and kind to yourself, be firm in your mind as to what you ultimately want and go for it, little step by little step.
Hugs XXX |

See Merlyn, i wouldn't put myself in that position cos i know i would fail lol i'm just damn lazy ha ha although, i am still doing well with the dog walking and the stepper, although himself tried to hang his robe on it the other night and he got a tellin off ha ha
I will think more about the smoking thing, i know its pointless trying to diet and quit smoking at the same time, so i will have a good think about what i should do
Thanks or the offer of support, i will bare it in mind honey xx mwah xx |

| Not many of us have great willpowers. Smoking you should really quit - it's very harmful, as we all know. And there is nothing called 'gradual quitting strategy' that people might suggest. You either say YES or NO...and start from TODAY. :) Make your decision today and stick to it. |
