Christmas is a time to remember those you love, those you have lost and all those who have touched your life. Most of the year we are all to busy to stop and have the time for everyone important, and now is the time to stop and say 'i love you', it is the time to see the smiles, to make the effort to say what has been inside you all year, all of the family that you only see at this special time, a time to give gifts to the ones you love, a time to spoil, a time to share, a time to love, a time for rememberance, a time of sacrifice, time to hold each other, a time to be selfless, a time of joy to each and everyone, make your home and life lighter with tinstle and string, fill the sides with well meaning cards from people you may have forgotten, seeing everyone together, happy and laughing ,maybe shedding a tear for those who couldn't be with you, time to miss those far away, keep them close in your heart as we are all together this time of the year. together in love and joy
and mainly, remember the special gifts that we all have this year
we have a home
we have a family
we have each other
we have love
we have food to eat
we have someone to say happy christmas to
some people aren't even aware that it is christmas, remember those less fortunate than ourselves,the children who never recieve a visit from santa, the families who have lost a loved one, and those strong men in the forces who wont see their families this christmas. those in poor countries who are more concerned for their next meal than presants under the tree, those living on the streets, wherever they may be, who will be cold and alone for christmas.
so if you don't get what you wanted for christmas, don't sulk, if you get snowed in and can't visit your loved ones, just give them a call, if you burn the turkey just think of all the other goodies you have in your fridge, but mainly, remember those less unfortunate if something unimportant makes you feel that you aren't having a merry christmas!
