i swear i live in the land of the DUMB!!

have you ever had that one person in your life, that never knows what the hell they are talking about? that one person who thinks they really do, but comes out seeming really off the subject? or even worse, they think they know everything and condinsends you, every time they say anything, thinking they are smarter than you? you know, the ones you just have to look at and go "WHAT?? what does that have to do with what we're talking about? how does that pertain to the subject? where the hell did that come from?"

then there are the ones who think they know everything, but when they talk about what they think, they have nothing to back it up. you have to argue with them cuz you really feel sorry for the lack of common sense or at least to educate them so they don't embarass themselves more in front of other ppl. when you get a stubborn one, you have to argue til your blue in the face. the stubborn ones, i feel, are more or less trying to get you to believe in what they believe, but you just can't, cuz it really makes no sense at all!!!

does anyone have that in their life? is there that one person who lives with you that makes no complete sense at all in anything they say??? i'm not talkin about a 'sometimes' thing here. i'm talking all the time. every time they open their mouth it's like another language that no one has clued you in on.

the topic of discussion the other day was, "when are you gonna start paying for all our food again?"

i'm sitting here thinking 'is there something wrong with you? did i miss something? are you really that dumb?'

my response was "when you start paying me to work for you. right now you don't pay me anything, yet, i am a tech and a secretary for you. so, yea, when you start paying me to work for you."

their response was, "i don't have to pay you. your my daughter and it's already part of the agreement."

i replied with, "no, it's not! i agreed to pay $500/mo. i have a job working for you and you don't pay me. so, how can i pay that if you don't pay me?" i'm sitting here thinking still, 'hello! you hired me!'

his next reply was, "what about foodstamps?"

does anyone see what's going on here? does anyone really see it? am i out of my mind or something? somehow i get the impression that he don't wanna pay me but yet i have to go get foodstamps. wait a minute. is he telling me that all he wants is money? (or me to pay for food, however you wanna look at it.) that's all i'm good for. he wants me to work for him but he don't wanna pay me. he wants me to get foodstamps so that his belly is full.

something tells me here that i'm being used by my own father. all i'm good for is money. i don't get it. is this what i think it is? does this seem to be it? again, am i going out of my mind?

he says to me, "it's hard having to pay for everyone."

all i could do is look at him and say, "i know, now you know how i feel footing the whole bill."

ironically, he didn't get it.
