i had this dream the other night. normally dreams like this don't bother me but this silly dream is. it's bothering me sooo bad that i've been wondering all day yesterday and so far today.
i was sitting here with my bf and he was trying to teach me how to tie a ribbon around a toothbrush. he kept telling me over and over again how importat it is. that i have to make sure i can do it.
i tried and i tried but i just couldn't seem to figure out how to do it. i kept telling him that i could do it. so i kept on trying. he told me that i will get it and to keep practicing. that it is very important that i learn this well.
then the scene switches to an empty house and i'm standing there with a realitor. he was asking me all kinds of questions like i was on some tv trivia game show. then he asked me this particular question. 'can you tie a knot around something small?' i was excited and told him i could that i just learned how to tie a ribbon around a toothbrush. i asked him if that would do. he says, "lets see ya do it."
i tried and tried sooooo hard to make that ribbon tie around that toothbrush. i just couldn't seem to do it. i was getting angry and frustrated. i must have tried about 20 times and i still couldn't get it. i kept telling myself that i could do it. it's so simple and i couldn't managae to tie that ribbon around that toothbrush.
the realitor kept telling me that it is very important that i learn to do this. finally, he said that my time was up. he told me again that it is very important that i learn this.
i woke up.
i normally don't remember my dreams and when i do they don't bother me at all. not even my nightmares bother me. altho i have very few nightmares. but this silly dream won't seem to go away. it seems like i should be figuring this one out. but i come up with no connection. i've tried running it past two ppl here but they don't know either.
any one else want to give it a shot??

I have no idea!
My question to most people in reguards to strange dreams is did you eat just before bed? This seems to cause me to dream strange things and remember them more when I wake.
I don't understand the need to tie a ribbon around a tooth brush. Maybe if you try it and do it in real life the dream will go away????
Maybe it's telling you to keep your toothbrush seprate away from someone elses??? Who knows...

Ooo I love dream interpretations! Yay! And this one is really interesting.
The only thing that pops up in my mind immediately is performance anxiety, because at both times when you are tying the bow you are in the presence of two people. Two males, at that.
It seems like the focus of the dream is other people, and answering/performing for other people.
On an act that is really silly and not important, in your eyes, although it is important to them.

i had gone through in my head all the outward causes too. but no, i had nothing to eat or nothing weird to drink before i went to bed. i thought about that too, keeping it seprate from everyone else's, but just to realize that it is seprate already. i have a thing about toothbrushes or using someone else's fork or drinking after someone. so i'm really careful about where my toothbrush is. thank you for your insight on my dream. :)

that IS very interesting! i can see where i have some performance anxiety in my life. but what puzzles me is why would i dream about something that is important to them? in the dream, i didn't panic or anything like that. i was actually quite excited to do this for both my bf and the realitor and i didn't feel the disappiontment or anxiety when i couldn't do the simple task. i was actually in a genuine good mood even when i had failed sooo miserably. i don't know. i normally can interprate other's dreams but never my own lol. thank you, i will try to post more as they come. i don't really remember too many of them lol. but have been remembering more lately lol.
