Maria (30) she is the youngest of five children and comes from the province of Mt. Arayat, just north of Manila. Just like her mother and grandmother, she grew up in the family’s two wooden huts, without any modern facilities. Just like her mother, she started to go with men at a very young age. Because there was nothing to do apart from have children, Maria became pregnant at the young age of 18. After she had given birth to her first child,nina (12), she live with the man whom she now simply calls ‘the father of my children’. She was happy with her child, and quickly had another two, mike (10) and nick (9). But after the birth of the youngest, the living with her bf turned into a nightmare. To supplement his wages as a Pedicab driver, her bf starting drugs dealing, took to drink and beat her up. Finally she decided to manage on her own from now on. At the age of 20,she starts to work and work and work to survive for her 3 kids alone. Then after years at age of 24 she start of business. But after few years her business becomes bad because she doesn’t have owned business stand. She took her friends advice and left manila for Angeles, first she start business in AC also but after few years again become bad because of many relatives trying to steal her for money and then after got problem about her relatives she thinks about to work in bar, since then she has worked as a bargirl and dancer. As a slightly older, shrewd girl, she does reasonably well. She has some men who regularly customers and even in the bars she is quite successful. Till one day she meet one guy whose start with friend of her and find the comfortable feeling with that guy. They chatting everyday, Even she is tired of work she still keep trying to give time to that guy. Till she fall in love with that guy. She really want to stop work in bar but she have no idea where she work because she don’t have good education. Till one day the guy offer her for a work till then she stop working in the bar. till now they are happy even the guy was not here in Phil’s always but they still chatting everyday. That’s the start of her good life here in Angeles city. She found he real love and she is happily ever after..
