Here is what I did.
Since I could not contact the Ebay Trust & Safety Department, I contacted Customer Service and asked to speak with a CS manager. The manager was very helpful although he said it was up to the T&S Dept to make any decision about reinstating my account. He said he would talk to one of the T&S Rep's. since he sat only a few cubicles down from him. He said he would call me back on Monday (this was Friday). Since I didn't have much hope that that would get anywhere, I started several blogs about my story. That Monday, I received a call from the same CS Manager stating that the T&S Dept. would like to reinstate my account.
To be honest, I don't know whether the bad publicity played a role or not. However, talking kindly to the CS Manager seems to have done it for me. |
