Jessica Simpson spent the weekend in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for a kidney infection.

The pop princess arrived at the hospital on Friday with a high fever. The hospital kept her over the weekend for observation.

Simpson's representative said she "is doing fine."

The singer's boyfriend, Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo, was not with her at the hospital.

The much hyped about couple was the target of many rumors. Rumors circulated that Romo proposed to Simpson, 27, earlier this month. Romo denied the claims to People.

"It's just rumors," he said. "I'm sure I'll get married one day. I don’t know when."
