| Bye Malcolm |
Today we said goodbye to my couisin Malcolm.
It doesn't feel right having to say goodbye to a cousin at this age, he wasnt' extremely or sick, just taken from us so suddenly without any warning. Malcolm is the second cousin we have lost in the last 18 months.
My other cousin Norm passed away after a short battle with lung cancer due to spending time in the building industry.
Malcolm was only 46. If you were a teenager his age would be old but Im only 1 year behind him, so faced with my own mortality you really can't take life for granted.
Malcom was killed last Thursday. His car had collided with a freight train
and he was killed instantly. I think in this technological age every person's worst nightmare about being informed about a loved ones death on the internet came true for me. I found out via my nephews facebook site and was able to log onto the news stream on the net. The worst was seeing his car and the acident.
So today we said our goodbyes to Malcolm. I have fond memories of my cousin, one he had loosy taste in music and two his ruggered appearance.
